Definitely. Even if we're just talking about on a friends level, it makes sense. Poor Xander hasn't had any real guy friends since Jesse died, except his girl friends' boyfriends - Oz and Riley - both of whom have now left, and neither of whom were really the kind of person Xander could indulge his geeky side with. Now he's got someone who gets that side of him, and it's only natural that they'd form some kind of bond, especially with all that Potential Slayer estrogen in the house.

I'm taking heart from the fact that Anya wasn't there either. Just Willow, underscoring the whole "original scoobies" thing. Also, Xander might not have wanted to be seen in his bandaged and traumatised condition by anyone but his two very best friends.
